I like that I get to help people every day. I know that I am making a difference in people’s lives, and that feels really good.

Job satisfaction
One of the things I like best about being a medical assistant is the satisfaction I get from knowing that I’m helping people. It’s a great feeling to know that I’ve made someone’s life a little bit easier, even if it’s just by doing something as simple as taking their blood pressure.
I also enjoy the variety that my job offers. No two days are ever the same, and I never know who or what is going to come through the door next. It’s always interesting, and I learn something new almost every day.
Of course, there are some challenging aspects to the job as well. Dealing with difficult patients or working long hours can be tough, but overall I really enjoy being a medical assistant and wouldn’t want to do anything else.
Helping others
I enjoy working in the medical field because I know that I am helping others. Every day, I feel like I am making a difference in someone’s life. I love being able to see the positive impact that I have on others.
Variety of tasks
I enjoy the variety of tasks that I get to perform as a medical assistant. No two days are exactly the same, and I feel like I am constantly learning new things. I also appreciate the opportunity to interact with patients and help them with their healthcare needs.
Good working hours
One of the things I like most about being a medical assistant is the good working hours. I work Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. I don’t have to work weekends or holidays, and I get two weeks of vacation each year.

As of 2019, Medical assistants earned a median annual salary of $34,800.1 That means that half of Medical Assistants earned more than this amount, and half earned less. The top 10% of earners made $50,810 or more per year, while the lowest 10% earned $24,370 or less annually.
Job security
One of the things I like most about being a medical assistant is the job security. The demand for medical assistants is expected to grow by 29% from 2016 to 2026, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That’s much faster than the average for all occupations.

Working as a medical assistant can offer some great perks and benefits. In addition, medical assistants often have the opportunity to work flexible hours and schedules.
Opportunities to advance
One of the things I like most about being a medical assistant is that there are opportunities to advance. With additional education and training, I could become a medical office manager, a position that would give me more responsibility and authority. I could also become a certified medical assistant, which would entitle me to a higher salary and greater job security.
Friendly co-workers
One of the things I like most about being a medical assistant is the friendly co-workers. Everyone is always willing to help out and we often have team lunches to get to know each other better. It’s a great environment to work in!
Rewarding career
There are many reasons why I enjoy being a medical assistant. One of the most rewarding aspects of the job is being able to help people on a daily basis. I know that I am making a difference in someone’s life when I am able to help them with their health care needs.
Another reason I enjoy being a medical assistant is the variety of tasks that I get to perform on a daily basis. No two days are ever the same, and I appreciate the challenge of always having to be adaptable and flexible. From taking vital signs to scheduling appointments, there is always something new to learn.
I also love the team environment that comes with being a medical assistant. I am constantly working with other medical professionals, and it is really gratifying to be part of a team that is working together towards a common goal.
