The Position

WakeMed is seeking certified Medical Assistants to join our team! As a Medical Assistant with WakeMed, you will provide patient care and support services under the direction of a physician. This may include taking medical histories, assisting with exams and procedures, performing diagnostic tests and providing patient education. The Duties

As a Medical Assistant at WakeMed, you will perform a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in order to support the operations of the physician’s office. You will be responsible for patient care, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining Medical records In addition, you may also be responsible forperforming lab tests, administering shots, and assisting with minor surgeries.

The Requirements

-A high school diploma or equivalent
-Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
-CMA (AAMA) certification or RMA certification
-At least one year of experience as a medical assistant
-Basic life support certification

The Schedule

WakeMed is currently hiring for Medical Assistants! The position offers a very competitive salary and benefits package, as well as a great work schedule.

The schedule for Medical Assistants is very flexible, with most positions working Monday through Friday. Some positions may require working weekends and evenings, but this is typically on a rotating basis. The hours are also very flexible, with most positions working between 8am and 5pm.
