The Southern Regional Technical College (STC) Medical Assistant Program is designed to prepare students for a career in the medical field. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform administrative and clinical tasks in a medical office or clinic setting.

STC’s Medical Assistant Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). CAAHEP is the leading accrediting agency for medical assistant programs. Program Requirements

The STC Medical Assistant Program is a combination of coursework and clinical experience that will prepare you to work as a medical assistant in a variety of healthcare settings. The program is designed to be completed in four semesters, and you will be required to take both didactic and clinical coursework.

In order to be eligible for the program, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and you must take and pass a drug screening. You will also need to complete an immunization form prior to beginning your clinical rotations.
