RVCC’s Medical Assistant program is a comprehensive, two-year program that prepares students for a career in the medical field. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform various tasks in a medical setting, such as taking patient histories and vital signs, performing laboratory tests, scheduling appointments, and assisting with minor office procedures. In addition to classroom instruction, the program includes a clinical externship component, which gives students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting.

The Medical Assistant Program at RVCC is a two-year program that prepares students for a career in the medical field. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and is approved by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing. The program offers an Associate in Applied Science degree, as well as a certificate of completion.

The Medical Assistant Program at RVCC provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform both administrative and clinical tasks in a medical office setting. The program curriculum includes coursework in Medical Terminology anatomy and physiology, medication administration, medical office procedures, and more. In addition to coursework, students in the program are required to complete externships in order to gain real-world experience.

The Curriculum of the Medical Assistant Program

The curriculum of the Medical Assistant program at RVCC provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a certified medical assistant. The program is designed to prepare students for both the administrative and clinical aspects of working in a medical office. The program is divided into four modules:

-Module 1: Introduction to Healthcare
-Module 2: Medical Office Procedures
-Module 3: Clinical Procedures
-Module 4: Externship

The Admission Requirements for the Medical Assistant Program

In order to be eligible for admission into RVCC’s Medical Assistant Program, applicants must:

– Be at least 18 years of age
– Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
– Submit an application and non-refundable $50 application fee
– Attend an interview with the Program Director
– Complete required reading and math assessments with a minimum score of 80%
