Intermountain Healthcare is looking for Medical Assistants to join their team! Medical assistants are vital members of the healthcare team who provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and other medical staff.
As a medical assistant you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: taking and recording patient medical histories and vital signs, preparing patients for examination, assisting physicians with patient procedures, providing instruction to patients on medication and proper care after their visit, collecting and processing laboratory specimens, scheduling appointments, and handling patient billing and insurance paperwork.

What are the requirements to be a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Healthcare?

We are seeking candidates who are team-oriented, have a positive attitude, are organized and detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.In addition, candidates must:
-Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
-Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
-Certification as a Medical Assistant from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or another nationally recognized provider of Medical Assistant certification
-Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or another provider recognized by Intermountain Healthcare
-Obtain and maintain a valid Utah driver’s license
