National medical assistant Week celebrates the valuable contributions of medical assistants during the week of October 5-11. This year, we honoring medical assistants for their hard work and dedication in providing quality patient care.
Medical assistants are healthcare professionals who provide administrative and clinical support to physicians and other medical staff. They are an important part of the healthcare team and play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
Medical assistants perform a variety of duties, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, assisting with procedures, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and billing insurance companies.
