Introduction
The UC Davis medical assistant program is a two-year program that trains students to work as Medical assistants in a variety of healthcare settings. The UC Davis Medical Assistant Program is a comprehensive, 12-month program that provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a medical assistant. The program is designed to prepare students for a career in the medical field, and provides them with the opportunity to take the California Medical Assistant Certification Exam.
The program curriculum
The UC Davis Medical Assistant Program curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a certified medical assistant. In addition, students will complete an externship in a medical office or clinic setting.
The program requirements
In order to be eligible for the UC Davis Medical Assistant Program, students must have completed a minimum of 12 units of coursework at UC Davis with a GPA of 2.67 or higher. A minimum grade of C- is required in each of the following courses:
– Biological Sciences 2A or 2B
– English 1A
– Statistics 7 or 10
In addition, all students must complete an interview with the program director prior to being accepted into the program.
