Dental Assisting Programs

The Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants offers comprehensive dental assisting programs that prepare students for careers in Dentistry.

The programs combine didactic instruction with clinical experience, providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become successful dental assistants. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the ability to successfully perform all duties of a dental assistant, including patient care, recordkeeping, sterilization procedures, and chairside assisting.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) exam to become a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).

Medical Assisting Programs

Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants offers certificate and degree programs in medical assisting The programs prepare students for careers in ambulatory care, hospitals, physician’s offices, HMOs, and other healthcare settings.

The school’s Medical Assisting programs include coursework in anatomy and physiology, Medical Terminology patient care, insurance billing and coding, laboratory procedures, and office practices. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to take the certified medical assistant examination administered by the American Association of Medical assistants (AAMA).

Admissions

The Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants offers a variety of programs to fit your schedule and career goals. We have full-time, part-time, and online programs available.

To be eligible for admission to our full-time program, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. For our part-time program, you must be 18 years of age or older. There are no eligibility requirements for our online program.

Our campus is located in the heart of White Plains, New York, just a short train ride from New York City We offer small class sizes and a close-knit community feel, with all the benefits of a big city location.

Faculty

The Westchester School for Medical and Dental Assistants has a highly qualified and experienced faculty. All of our instructors are certified by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and have a minimum of five years’ experience working in their respective field. In addition, our faculty members are required to complete continuing education courses on a regular basis to keep up with the latest changes in the medical and dental field.
