Truman Medical Center (TMC) is committed to providing quality, Affordable Health Care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. We offer a variety of financial assistance programs to help our patients meet their medical needs.

We understand that unexpected medical bills can be a hardship for our patients and their families. That’s why we offer a number of discounts and payment plans to make paying for your care more manageable. We also offer free or low-cost care for those who qualify based on their income and other factors.

How to Qualify for Financial Assistance

To qualify for Truman Medical Center’s (TMC) Financial Assistance program, you must first complete and submit a financial assistance application. Once your application has been reviewed, TMC staff will contact you to let you know if you qualify for assistance.

In general, to qualify for TMC’s Financial Assistance program, you must meet the following criteria:
-Have a household income at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines
-Be a resident of Missouri or Kansas
-Be uninsured or have medical expenses that are not covered by insurance

3. If you believe you meet the criteria for an appeal, complete and submit a Financial Assistance Appeal form, which can be obtained from the Financial Assistance Office or online at www.trumanmedicalcenter.org.

5. You will be notified in writing of the outcome of your appeal within 14 days of receipt of your completed appeal form.
