How to Receive Financial Assistance

Contacting Truman Medical Center for financial assistance can be a daunting task. This guide will help to direct you to the appropriate channels and staff that can help ease the burden of paying for medical care.

There are many ways to receive financial assistance, but the most common are through scholarships, bursaries, and loans.

Scholarships are based on academic achievement and are typically awarded by the government or educational institutions. Bursaries are based on financial need and are typically awarded by religious organizations or community groups. Loans are based on either need or credit worthiness and are typically awarded by banks or other financial institutions.

The first step in receiving any kind of financial assistance is to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The FAFSA form can be found online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.

Once the FAFSA form has been completed, it will be sent to the schools listed on the form. The schools will then review the form and award any aid for which the student is eligible.

If you have any questions about completing the FAFSA form or about financial aid in general, you can contact the Financial Aid Office at Truman Medical Center by calling 816-404-1000 or by emailing [email protected].

What to Do If You Do Not Qualify for Financial Assistance
