In an effort to provide the best possible experience for all of its passengers, Singapore Airlines has announced that it will now offer Medical assistance to passengers who may need it during their travels. This new service will be available on all of the airline’s flights, and will be provided by a team of trained medical professionals.
This move by Singapore Airlines is just one of many that the airline has made in recent years in order to improve the overall travel experience for its passengers. In addition to offering Medical Assistance the airline has also introduced a number of other services such as providing iPads for all passengers on long-haul flights, and installing private suites in its first-class cabins.
What Medical Assistance is available?
Singapore Airlines offers medical assistance to passengers who may need it during their flight. This includes providing oxygen, administering first aid, and arranging for medical evacuation if necessary. Our staff are trained to deal with a variety of medical situations and will do everything possible to ensure your safety and comfort.
How to request medical assistance
If you need medical assistance onboard, please inform a member of our cabin crew. Our crew is trained to provide basic first-aid and will liaise with the on-call medical doctor, should the need arise.
To ensure that we can provide you with the best possible care, we request that you travel with a Medical Information Form. This form requires your basic personal details as well as information on your current medical condition(s).
If you are traveling with medication, please bring along enough to last the entire journey, as we may not be able to replenish your supply onboard. Please also remember to pack your medication in your carry-on baggage, in case of checked baggage delays.
Who is eligible for medical assistance?
All passengers who are at least 12 weeks pregnant are eligible for medical assistance. If you are pregnant and have a medical condition that may require special assistance, please contact our Special Assistance team at least 48 hours prior to your flight.
What are the conditions for medical assistance?
To be eligible for medical assistance, passengers must:
-Be at least 12 years old;
-Be travelling on a Singapore Airlines flight;
-Have a valid ticket; and
-Meet the specific medical requirements for the assistance requested.
